With The Title of Rio de Janeiro, Alcaraz Makes History.

As a 16-year-old, Carlos Alcaraz won his first ATP Tour match at the Rio Open sponsored by Claro two years ago. On Sunday, the 18-year-old Spaniard created further history at the same tournament.

Alcaraz, who was seeded seventh, defeated third-seeded Diego Schwartzman 6-4, 6-2 to become the ATP 500's youngest champion since the category's inception in 2009. It's the teen's second tour-level victory, following his debut in Umag last year.
