Djokovic and Medvedev Lead Dubai And Acapulco Fields; Garin In Action In Santiago

The ATP Tour will be busy this week with events in Acapulco, Dubai, and Santiago. Novak Djokovic is the top seed at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, while Daniil Medvedev is the top seed at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel presented by HSBC in Acapulco, both of which are ATP 500 events. Cristian Garin, the reigning champion, returns to Santiago for the Chile Dove Men+Care Open, an ATP 250 clay-court event.

Bautista Agut Avenges Basilashvili, Wins Doha Title

Roberto Bautista Agut   ended his dominant week in style on Saturday, downing   Nikoloz Basilashvili   6-3, 6-4 in the   Qatar ExxonMobil Open   final to win his first ATP Tour title since 2019. In a repeat of last year’s championship match in Doha, a pumped-up Bautista Agut played consistently and aggressively from the baseline to gain revenge over the Georgian, who triumphed in the final in 2021.

Rublev Defeats Felix And Captures The Marseille Crown

Andrey Rublev won the Open 13 Provence final on Sunday, defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime 7-5, 7-6(4) to claim his first ATP Tour title since March 2021. The Russian, who advanced to the final of the ATP 250 event in Marseille after defeating three Frenchmen, has now won nine tour-level titles, increasing his record in finals on indoor hard courts to 5-0

With The Title of Rio de Janeiro, Alcaraz Makes History.

 As a 16-year-old, Carlos Alcaraz won his first ATP Tour match at the Rio Open sponsored by Claro two years ago. On Sunday, the 18-year-old Spaniard created further history at the same tournament. Alcaraz, who was seeded seventh, defeated third-seeded Diego Schwartzman 6-4, 6-2 to become the ATP 500's youngest champion since the category's inception in 2009. It's the teen's second tour-level victory, following his debut in Umag last year.
